17 Photo Flawless Skin Primer

Hellloooo there Ladies

I am on a roll today, 3rd post of the day :) This is gonna be a quick review of a newish product I have been trying for about 2 weeks now. I took up the offer on 17 in boots (3 for 2) and decided to get a few things that I hadn't really seen reviewed before and this was one of them.

So like I said I have been using this for 2 weeks now. Before this I had been using Smashbox and ELF primers but had run out of my ELF primer recently so this was also a replacement.

What the bottle says: Prolongs foundation wear and minimised pores.

What I think: First off I like the packaging of this primer. The two primers I had used both had pumps and it was kind of hard to control how much comes out but with this handy squeezy tube it is so much handier to get just the right amount out.

On first inspection the consistency and quality look just as good as my Smashbox primer and better than the ELF one I had been using daily.

Putting it on my face it feels exactly the same as my Smashbox same smooth application and it leaves my skin feeling exactly the same way the Smashbox one does too.

I can't say much about minimising pores because to be honest I never really paid much attention but it definitely does make your foundation last longer. There were one or two days during the 2 weeks that I had forgotten to put it on and you could totally tell by the end of my work day. This primer keeps my foundation looking fresh from about 7.30 in the morning until about 6 in the evening with is good going.

The price for this was I think €7.99 (I have lost the receipt sorry) for 0.5 fluid oz but if you get it in a 3 for 2 it is a total bargain. I actually like this that much I am half thinking of trying out the matching foundation.

So if you are looking to try a primer or are simply looking for a daily one so as not to be using an expensive one every day I totally recommend this.

Hope you enjoy & thanks for popping in for a look

I wanna be a Lipstick Lover

Hey there Lovelies,

I was having a look round my make up area today when I was pulling out stuff for my blog sale and realised that although I have been consciously trying to buy more lipsticks since I started blogging I don't actually use them.

Up till I began this blog I had 1 daytime lipstick - Rimmel in Asia and 1 nighttime one from Lidl in a red shade. I had mostly stuck to using lipgloss and even that is a stretch. So when I started the blog I began picking up lipsticks from ELF and 17 and a few other places. So now I have a nice little collection starting even including a MAC :)

Still I leave the house every morning without applying anything to my lips. It just does not seem to occur to me. So from today I am going to try to wear a lipstick every day for 30 days. Although they do make me a little bit self conscious I do want to get into the habit of wearing them.

So today I wore my MAC in Up the Amp - starting strong :) At the end of each week I will be letting you know what lovely lippies I have worn/bought.

Anybody wanna do this with me let me know.

Thanks for stopping by

My first R.A.K goodies

Evening Ladies,

Hope you all had a quick week and will have a lovely weekend.

So this is the first of my R.A.K (Random Act of Kindness) gifts that I received today. The wonderful Kelly from Bakes, Beauty & Blog came up with the most wonderful idea of doing Random Act of Kindness so I jumped on it as the idea was right up my street. Basically 5 lovely ladies were involved and we each bought 1 small present for each of the other ladies. Then we post the goodies to the ladies as a surprise. We had a limit of £2 or €2.50 for each person.

So yesterday Dee from Confessions of a Makeupaholic posted her 4 parcels and as we live in the same country I decided to fly home really quickly on lunch to see if it had arrived and I was soooo happy when I opened the door to see a lovely brown envelope waiting for me :)

I was sooooo excited - it's always more exciting when it is a surprise. So I opened the parcel in the car when I got back to work - I have no patience - and look at how prettily it was wrapped.

I was delighted when I opened what she had gotten me. I had been in town recently in Primark having a nosy around for a present for the other half for his mum for Mothers Day and had wandered into the jewellery section because she loves dress jewellery and had actually nearly purchased this for myself but as I am on a spending ban I didn't so I was wellllll chuffed.

The present was a super pretty, delicate looking charm necklace with a teeny tiny mirror, brush and chair on it in a lovely vintage gold colour. I actually popped it on in the car and wore it for the rest of the day :) She also popped in some sweeties which I also ate :)

So ladies keep an eye on Kelly's blog because I am sure she will be organising another R.A.K in the future and it is great fun. And I am sooooo looking forward to the other goodies I will get.

Thank you to all the other lovely ladies who are doing this please check out their blogs

NYX Runway Palette - Casting Call

Hey Ladies

Today's review is on the NYX Runway Palette.

I ordered this palette from CherryCulture.com I usually use a seller on eBay called Shopstick168 for all of my NYX goodies but I happened to want some Milani lip glosses so was placing an order with Cherry Culture and popped a few NYX goodies in too. I got this palette on sale for only $8.00.

So I got the Runway Collection Palette in Casting Call. They had the full range of Runway Palettes which have a great range from neutrals to wilder colours. I liked this palette as it is brilliant for smokey eyes which is one of my favourite looks.

It contains 10 different shades of black greys and silvers. There is also a lovely pale bronzy colour thrown in too. These really are my go to colours so this palette works perfect for me.

(I'm afraid I dropped mine woopsie)

The colour pay off from these palettes is really very good. I have used it a few times now and done some lovely smokey eye looks. They are easy to blend and there is very little fall out.

The palette itself is lovely and sleek and just the right size for popping into your bag for a look on the go or to vamp up your look for an evening after work. (It's got a massive big mirror too)

So if you feel like trying these palettes out take a look at the eBay seller as they do great postage fees etc and delivery to me any time I order is about a week. If you fancy trying these and some other US brands I suggest Cherry Culture, postage is a bit steep but it does only take about a week too.

Hope this helps my lovelies

So for the summery weekend I decided to do a nice fancy nail. I also got a lovely new OPI from a blog sale from Beautiful You and was itching to use it :)

The pink polish is OPI Got A Date To Knight and the white is from the Essence Black and White Collection.

I used my new dotting tools and this was the result - I got heaps of compliments on them too :)

ELF Plumping Lip Glaze

Hi there Lovely Ladies

Today's review is about ELF's Plumping Lip Glaze. Now I had heard one or two pretty bad reviews on this products and I think that is why I had left it until my 10th order before I ordered it but I had already gotten some of the Liquid Lipstick and the Hypershine Lip Gloss so I thought for €1.70 give it a go and just see for yourself. I am sooooo happy that I did.

I can honestly say, hand on heart, this is my favourite ELF lip product. For me it way surpasses the other two. The colour pay off is much better and I like that the applicator is a doe foot. It goes on without any sticky sensation but at the same time has great staying power.

The plumping section has a more tolerable minty taste than most plumping products I have used and although it won't give you instant Angelina lips it does give them a bit of a plump. I don't use glosses for plumping anyway but if you did this wouldn't be a bad option at all.

It just feels lovely on your lips and the colour I got was soooo complimentary to my skin tone I have been wearing it almost every day since I got it. It is definitely a handbag staple for me now.

It comes in 11 shades and in this they have added a few new shades since I purchased. The shade I opted for was Fire Coral and is a fabulous pale red with blue undertones.

I will 100% be re-purchasing this type of gloss again in a few different colours.

Hope this helps
